Lock In Japanese is an iOS app that teaches Japanese in the seconds you already spend on your phone. Instead of another flashcard grind, it puts one word on your lock screen so you meet it dozens of times a day, before the scroll ever begins. When you open Instagram, TikTok or X, the app seals them behind a short quiz drawn from the words you are learning. Answer correctly and you earn a window of scrolling; when it closes, the seal returns. The result is a habit that turns idle taps into steady, low-effort progress. Brand assets
One mark, two forms of the same chop: 锁 cut into cinnabar on paper. The app icon is the square, upright form - use it for the App Store, favicons and anywhere the mark stands alone. The seal mark is the form the app itself presses into a page: softer corners and tilted, the way a hand-pressed chop lands. For print and anything above 512px use brand-mark.svg below - not the favicon, which tightens the chop's margin so the glyph survives a browser tab. Keep the paper field either way - never place the chop on a colored ground.

Typography
Songti SC, bold, at every size - the one face that renders hanzi and kanji. Named explicitly everywhere so a CJK run never falls back to an unnamed face.
System UI (SF Pro / Segoe / Roboto) for every Latin role, headings included. Set on paper (#f4f1ea) in sumi ink (#1d1d1b). Seal red is the site's one accent - the mark and every primary action.
